Walking & Connections

We are planning a walking and social group for seniors, utilizing the facilities at Jonah or the local school when available. Additionally, we are organizing social events and presentations on topics such as solar panels and advance directives. Please check our calendar for upcoming activities.

Service Referrals

We maintain a network of local volunteers with diverse skills dedicated to supporting our elders. Additionally, we collaborate with other groups and organizations to provide comprehensive services tailored to the needs of older adults.

We are partnering with both the Area Agency on Aging & amp; Disabilities of SW Washington (AAADSW) and Klickitat County Senior Services, (KCSS) who both offer programs to benefit residents 60+ and residents with disabilities. We can refer residents and provide information on their programs.

Future Possibilites

For the future, we have a number of initiatives in mind. Our community survey indicates support for the following: A shuttle into town on a regular basis, augmenting Mt. Adams Transportation of Klickitat County Senior Services. Frozen meals available every day, prepared in a local kitchen, and delivered to our most vulnerable residents. We are creating a “helper team” to assist in……..??? Our ultimate goal being the creation of a community center with limited housing for residents with age related limitations, who lack family support, and want to be closer to community activities. Features include a community kitchen, lounge and multipurpose space including an exhibition area devoted to honoring the early pioneers that settled our valley.

“A society grows great when it shows care for those who paved the way. Join us in giving back to our elders—your support ensures they receive the dignity, care, and companionship they deserve.”
